About Us
Emily Neff - Founder
Hi! I’m Emily, founder of Kids Who Flow, long-time early educator, New Yorker, and mom to my son Aiden. I began my professional journey as a classroom teacher - working with underserved populations in Title I schools in NYC. Since then, I have been fortunate enough to provide instruction to learners in both private and public classroom settings. I am a certified Early Interventionist and have tutored privately alongside my teaching for over a decade. All throughout my career, I’d meet parents who would ask for the same advice: “My child is struggling to enjoy learning. How can I get my child to actually ENJOY this process?”
It occurred to me that all of these diverse students, with varying needs, strengths, and interests could all succeed if they were provided with one key component that was inevitably missing from their learning experiences thus far. These children needed creativity.
In my clinical training at NYU, in my work in my Master’s program, in my 1:1 support with the B.U.D.S. Program at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, and in my work as an Early Interventionist at schools across Manhattan, this common thread held true. Creativity is what builds genuine connection, helps a child feel understood, and ultimately unlocks their potential for optimal achievement and success.
I am steadfast in my mission to help all learners believe in their own potential and power. I developed Kids Who Flow in order to merge the best in educational research with a true understanding of a child's individual learning style. Every child deserves learning experiences that are intentionally designed, and just as joyful as they are impactful.
Discovering the magic of learning is within reach for every child. I’m so excited for your family to begin this journey!

Our Team
Our team of educators have extensive experience teaching in the New York and Los Angeles school systems. All of our instructors hold Master’s Degrees in Education, have been trained in explicit literacy instruction through the IMSE, and have received method-specific training on the Kids Who Flow approach to teaching young children. Additionally, all of our educators are either trained in Wilson, PAF, or both, in order to further support what’s happening in your child’s reading groups and classroom.
